Architectural drawing with color rendering of a detail from the mausoleum at Glanum (Saint-Rémy-de-Provence). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Inscriptions and traces of graphite are visible in the margins.
The drawing depicts the mythological battle scene visible on the lower west side of the mausoleum. A horseman in a bad position in a melee is protected by the shield of the central figure. To the left of the scene, a group of characters with no apparent connection to the battle: they are dressed in civilian clothes, with a lover reading a document in the middle.
