The drawing depicts the forum courtyard, seen from a doorway. The forum consists of a courtyard surrounded by a colonnaded portico. A number of figures have taken up residence here. The great temple, raised on a podium, stands in the background. The façade features six Corinthian columns supporting an entablature and a triangular pediment, the tympanum of which is decorated with bas-reliefs. Acroteria adorn the corners of the roof.
