The Classis Britannicaur military camp was built on the heights of the town. The buildings are arranged in blocks within a rectangular fortified enclosure. Outside the enclosure, below, lies the port. In the upper right-hand section of the drawing, a lighthouse is built facing the sea, which stretches as far as the eye can see.
