Aerial view of the Vaux de la Celle Gallo-Roman sanctuary in Genainville. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
In the center is the theater, its tiers filled with people. Others are arriving from the lane bordering the theater. In front of the theater is a square lined with buildings that extend towards the lower right-hand corner of the drawing. On the other side of the courtyard is a sanctuary featuring a temple in the center of an enclosure and three basins. Further buildings are shown beyond the enclosure towards the top of the drawing.
