Aerial view of Elephantine. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
In the foreground flows the Nile. Several boats are crossing it. A barge, loaded with two obelisks, is pulled by six other boats. On the bank stands the Temple of Khnum. An esplanade provides access to the temple. It consists of a courtyard bordered by a portico, a hypostyle hall and a sanctuary. Behind it is the temple of Satis.
