Presentation :

Aerial view of the workers’ village and necropolis at Deir el Medineh. The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The village lies at the foot of the Theban Mountain, visible in the background. It is organized within an enclosure, on either side of a main road. The dwellings consist of three distinct spaces: a chapel, a living room with a raised ceiling and a courtyard with ovens. A necropolis with pyramids can be seen in the background.
