Aerial view of the fort and town of Cysis (Douch) in the Kharga oasis. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in graphite and partially erased. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The town is built on the promontory of an arid but cultivated region in the Kharga oasis. A fort was built on the heights above the town. Several courtyards, opened by pylons, give access to a fortified building. Dwellings are arranged around it. Workshops can be seen in the lower part of the drawing.
