Presentation :

Aerial view of the Romanesque church at Conques. The drawing is in landscape format, organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The drawing represents the principle of a Romanesque church inspired by the abbey church of Sainte-Foy de Conques. The edifice is built on a Latin cross plan. A sculpted portal, framed by towers, opens onto a central nave flanked by two aisles. The transept is protruding. The transept crossing is covered by a dome topped by an eight-sided tower. The chevet is semicircular, with apses. The town grew up around it.
