Ecorché view of Cluny III abbey. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The building features a semicircular chevet surrounded by an ambulatory with radiating chapels, and two projecting transepts with apsidioles. The crossing of the main transept is topped by a square tower. Two octagonal towers crown the transept arms. The nave is flanked by double aisles. A narthex precedes the entrance to the building.
The abbey is surrounded by conventual buildings: cloisters, infirmary, gardens,
attics, etc.
