Aerial view of Domitian’s villa at Circei (Mount Circe). The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The villa stands on the shores of Lake Sabaudia. A long portico links the various buildings. On one side are the baths, the palaestra and a pool. The apartments are located on the other side, around a peristyle. In the center of the portico is a theater. Mount Circeo can be seen in the distance, on the edge of the Tyrrhenian Sea.
