Aerial view of Ziqua (Zaghouan) and Carthago (Carthage). The drawing is in landscape format and has no frame. A graphite sketch of Carthage and inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The drawing depicts the bay of Carthage, built on the Mediterranean coast. The city can be seen at the end of a long aqueduct. Zaghouan is on the right-hand side of the drawing. Between the two cities, land and agricultural fields develop.
