The town is set on the Mediterranean coast, visible in the upper part of the drawing. Part of the forum can be seen in the foreground. The large public square of the ancient agora extends to the left of the drawing. Its two harbours can be seen nearby. The first is rectangular in shape. A lighthouse lines the entrance to the channel. The second is circular. It is composed of ships’ lodges arranged around the admiral’s command post, located on a central islet. The white smoke in the middle of the dwellings indicates the presence of the thermal baths. The circus is located on the right-hand side of the drawing, near the isthmus and the lake, on the other side of the cardo (north-south axis). Mountains rise up in the distance.
