Aerial view of the thermal baths in Place des Jacobins, Augustoritum Lemovicum (Limoges). The drawing is in landscape format. It is framed in ink. Traces of watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins.
The building stands within a walled enclosure. The entrance is through a porticoed courtyard. The gabled and conch-shaped roof reveals a succession of baths, with a cold room (frigidarium), a warm room (tepidarium) and a hot room (caldarium).
Smoke indicates the presence of an active furnace, which heated the air and water in the facility. A large courtyard lies at the rear of the building.
