Aerial view of Augustoritum Lemovicum (Limoges) in the 2nd and 3rd centuries. The drawing is in portrait format. It is arranged within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The city is laid out along a network of orthonormal streets, with the decumanus and cardo maximus, which cross the city from end to end, clearly visible. The forum can be seen in the center. In the lower part of the drawing, at the edge of the city, a theater is depicted. A bridge spanning the Vienne provided access to the city from the south. At the top left of the drawing, on the outskirts of the city, is an amphitheatre.
