Aerial view of Aquileia (Aquilée). The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a graphite frame. The reverse side features inscriptions.
The city is built on the banks of a river, in the lower part of the drawing. It is organized within a fortified enclosure. You can see the cardo axis, along which the forum is built. The circus and amphitheatre are built close to the ramparts. The plain stretches out into the distance, crossed by the river that flows into the Adriatic Sea and the lagoon. On the left is Grado.
