Front view of the Kom el Chougafa necropolis in Alexandria (Alexandria). The drawing is in portrait format and has no frame. It is pasted onto a colored background. Inscriptions are visible on the reverse.
The pronaos opens onto two papyrus columns. The walls of the funerary chapel are carved with two representations of the serpent Agathodaimon, protective divinity, holding the caduceus of Hermes and the thyrse of Dionysus. It is surmounted by the shield with Medusa’s head.
