Aerial view of Nero’s temple at the Tehneh el Gebel site in Achôris. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of graphite, watercolor and inscriptions are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the verso.
Nero’s temple is built on high ground, at the foot of a rocky spur called Gebel el-Tayr. A paved walkway leads to the entrance. It is a hemi-spéos temple. A few dwellings are located on its outskirts. Below, on the right-hand side of the drawing, you can see a verdant plain and the Ouâdî Tehna.
