Aerial view of the Temple of Ramses II at Abydos. The drawing is in landscape format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. Traces of watercolor and graphite are visible in the margins. Inscriptions appear on the reverse.
The temple extends over the entire surface of the drawing. A first pylon (or portal) opens onto a first courtyard with a dais. A second pylon leads to a courtyard lined with Osirid pillars. Along the axis, a raised portico leads to the rest of the covered halls. Secondary buildings surround the temple.
