Aerial view of the Abu Shaar fort on the Red Sea. The drawing is in portrait format. It is organized within a frame drawn in ink. The landscape is painted on one sheet, pasted onto another representing the background. Traces of watercolor are visible in the margins. The reverse side features inscriptions.
The fort stands in the lower part of the drawing. It is built on the Red Sea coastline, visible in the background. The buildings are arranged in four islets, within a fortified enclosure with four corner towers and four monumental gates.
